Second Trimester Checklist
- Sign up for a childbirth class
- Talk with your husband, partner or other support people about your preferences for labor, such as whether you think you want to use natural comfort measures or medical pain management techniques
- Think about whether you want to hire a doula and begin interviewing doulas if so (See our Factsheet on Doulas)
- Read some birth stories (Midwife Ina May Gaskin has wonderful, positive birth stories in her books, including Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth and Spiritual Midwifery)
- Continue exercising (See Exercise in the Second Trimester fact sheet)
- Consider attending a prenatal yoga class or add prenatal yoga to your exercise routine (We made a 12 minute prenatal yoga video routine you can use for free here)
- Start doing kegel exercises (See our step by step guide for kegels)
